Speeding and Traffic Complaints
The Kitty Hawk Police Department has a mobile radar trailer that can be deployed in neighborhoods. The trailer is utilized following a complaint of speeding, or in other areas known for speeding problems.
Mobile Radar Trailer Data
With an on-board computer, the mobile radar trailer documents:
- Location
- Number of vehicles
- Speed
- Time
The on-board computer data is later downloaded. This information is utilized to determine the best time for enforcement action.
