USS Kitty Hawk Archives
When the USS Kitty Hawk entered retirement from active duty, the ship’s crew and personnel from the Naval Historical Center dismantled the ship’s Welcome Room, and collected artifacts from her distinguished years of service. Some artifacts were shipped to the Town of Kitty Hawk. We had a long relationship with the ship and we are happy to share this collection via the town’s web site. Many of the items have no identifying information, and we ask visitors to the website to let us know if they recognize shipmates or have memories that they would like to share about events portrayed in the collection.
