Budget Public Hearing
The proposed Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget for the Town of Kitty Hawk has been filed with the Town Council and is available for public inspection in the Town Hall during normal working hours or Town website via this link: https://bit.ly/43geD9c. Given the increased property values following the revaluation, the $12,539,727 recommended budget is based on a town-wide tax rate of 22 cents per $100 of total estimated real valuation of taxable property, including the townwide beach nourishment tax, with an additional 6 cents per $100 of total estimated real valuation of taxable property levied on the Municipal Service District.
A public hearing on the budget will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 6 pm in the Smith Meeting Room at Kitty Hawk Town Hall located at 101 Veterans Memorial Drive, Kitty Hawk, NC for the purpose of receiving comments.
